Why Private Lessons?

The Benefits of Private Swim Lessons

Why are private lessons a great way to teach your child to swim? There are many benefits of private swim lessons, here is some information to help you learn why private lessons are the best option.

One-on-One with the Instructor

Private lessons allow the instructor to focus 100% of their attention on your child during the 30 minute lesson! This allows the instructor to customize the lesson to your child's needs and learning abilities. With one-on-one instruction your child can progress at a faster rate and improve in the areas needed.

With group lessons the instructor needs to share the time between each child in the lesson, which forces the lesson to be a generic lesson that is NOT tailored to the needs of each child. Private lessons allow the instructor to encourage and improve the child's swim skills while working on their weaknesses. You can also discuss yours and your child's swim goals with the instructor so you can obtain a quality lesson that meets your expectations!

Flexible Swim Times/Days

Private instruction has more flexibility for your family. The swim instructor drives to you and teaches in your pool. This is not only convenient to have a lesson in your back yard, but also allows for flexibility with dates and times for the private lesson. No need to pack up the car and hurry to make it to a group lesson at a specific time.

Learn to Swim in Record Time

With private swim lesson your child can learn to swim in a shorter time frame. Every child learns at a different rate so there is no guarantee on how many lessons it will take your child to swim, but when the instructor can focus on your child and they can improve in the areas needed, your child will be learning how to swim in record time compared to a group lesson. On the first day of lessons the instructor can asses your child's swim abilities and give you feedback on the skills they need to work on and practice to get you to your swim goal.

In group lessons instructors need to spend at least 1-2 minutes on each skill with each child. If your child already knows how to complete the skill they still need to wait for the class to catch up. With private lessons you can complete the skill and move to the next without having to wait on another child.
